Don’t Stop ’til You Get Enough

It should come as no surprise that the proper amount of exercise is relative. It depends on a number of factors, including age, gender and pregnancy status. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the average adult should be getting about two and a half hours of moderate-intensity physical activity per week as well as some muscle-strengthening activities.
It’s also important to work all of the major muscle groups, which include the back, legs, abdomen, chest, shoulders, arms and hips. When trying to determine how much exercise is enough, you should also factor in the amount of walking and physical exertion you undertake at work and in your free time. Fun activities like golf – assuming you’re walking around the course – can actually be counted as exercise.
