Behavior modification is one of the most important issues in any weight loss diet. That is, changing your behavior to modify your response to help you achieve goals. This is true in life, not just limited to weight gain, weight loss or starting an exercise program. So your weight changes and exercise programs are related to behavior modification techniques. Behavior modifications can only be effective if the person wants to change behavior for themselves and not for someone else.
There are many different behavior modification programs used for a weight loss diet and exercise program. There is reinforcement, punishment, rewarding and goal setting to name a few. There will be some relapses, so plan for relapse prevention and a strategy to modify the weight loss diet program and exercise training.
